Dor Chadash carries out its activities through four Committees:
1.  Cultural
2.  Educational
3.  Social
4.  Social Action

These Committees are composed of volunteers who meet monthly to plan and implement exciting programs.  These Committees either initiate new activities or partner with other organizations to offer exclusive benefits for our members. We count on volunteers to make the events fresh and vibrant and are always seeking new ideas. Typically, 2-3 people chair events, and more volunteers help out on the day of the event. Cultural Committee
The goal of Cultural Committee is to explore and celebrate the cultural beauty and diversity of Israel. We explore various art forms, including dance, exhibitions, theatre, cinema, poetry, music, and more.

The cultural committee either initiates new cultural activities (such as the Israeli Film Forum) or partners with other organizations to offer exclusive benefits for our members. We count on volunteers to make the events fresh and vibrant and are always seeking new ideas.

Sample events directed by the Cultural Committee:

• The Israel Film Forum - New York’s premier platform for launching Israeli films
• Tikkun Leil Shavuot – an annual, all-night cultural and educational voyage
• Exclusive Dance Events with the Batsheva Dance Company at Lincoln Center
• Concerts with Israeli pop superstars like Rita, Rami Kleinstein, Shalom Chanoch & Shlomo Artzi, Mosh Ben Ari, Din Din Aviv, Berry Sakharov and Aviv Geffen
• Cutting-edge Israeli art programs
• The annual communal Yom Hazikaron Memorial and Yom Haatzmaut Celebration, which this year attracted more than 3000 people who gathered together to celebrate Israel’s 61^st birthday at the Intrepid.

Educational Committee
The Educational Committee provides opportunities to 1) learn about contemporary life in Israel and current events from prominent speakers and 2) discuss important Israel-related issues in both small and large gatherings. The goal is to create a dialogue which will help both the Americans and Israelis better understand one another’s point of view.

• Discussion clubs issue involving Israel or the Israeli and American Jewish communities with Ambassador Danny Ayalon, former IDF Chief of Staff Boogie Ya'alon, Ambassador Martin Indyk, former Speaker of the Knesset Avrum Burg, Ester Levanon, Alan Dershowitz, Yehonatan Geffen and many others
• Open microphone discussions with such luminaries as Nobel Prize laureate Elie Wiesel
• Dinner with Friends, creating an intimate, moderated dialogue over a timely subject
• The Book Salon, discussing the literature of Israel’s top writers
• AmbassaDor Chadash – a new program currently under development with the goal of empowering our members with better means to understand, articulate and represent Israeli contemporary society, history and policies.
• Project Blog - Dozens of Dor Chadash volunteers gathered to help Israel fight the global PR war during Operation Cast Lead.

Social Committee
The Social Committee carries out cutting-edge social events tied to Jewish holidays with an Israel theme.  These are large-scale events catering to 500+ people.

• Salute to Israel Parade
• Berry Sakharov in Concert 
• Tu B’Av Boat Cruise

Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee seeks ways to:
1.  Raise awareness about needs in Israel
2.  Offer hands-on and giving opportunities for Dor Chadash volunteers which directly benefit the greater Jewish and non-Jewish community.

2.  Lend a Hand for Purim
3.  Tikkun Leil Shavuot
4. Lend a Hand - The Bedouin Community in Israel
