Two weeks ago, something extraordinary happened. The more I thought about it, the more I was compelled to share it with you.

I received an urgent e-mail from the JCC in Manhattan asking for my help with a very serious situation. Gidi, a technician with the Batsheva Ensemble Dance Troupe, fell ill on the plane on his way to their performance in New York . He was rushed to the hospital immediately after landing, was diagnosed with a collapsed lung, and underwent emergency surgery.
